Accommodations:
Ocean-View Bungalows: Spacious, private units face the private cove with oceanfront views, and feature a large bathroom and an oversized shower.

Suites: With views of the valley or the private cove, these suites have turn-of-the-century Hawaiian furniture, an oversized soaking tub and a separate shower.

Glamping yurts: Designed for nature lovers, glamping yurts are privately tucked away next to the sacred valley and infinity pool. Each includes a toilet and sink. There is a separate shower house that is shared with other guests, a short walk down the path.

Double occupancy. Sliding scale costs are for 1 person in a shared 2-person room.

The retreat fee only covers the basic retreat costs: food, facility, travel for teachers, and other incidental expenses. In the spirit of generosity, the teachers offer their teaching and support freely, and you have the opportunity to offer a support donation at the end of the retreat to them. Our Earth bodies are part of the natural feedback system of all of life, from the micro to the macro, from the visible to the invisible. Beyond anthropocentrism, Buddhist meditation expands our recognition of embodied interdependence. On this retreat, practicing with the body and the elements as our entry way, we will explore the radical gift and responsibility of interdependence. We will deepen our kinship with and devotion to Gaia, spanning the plant, mineral, animal world, all beings, and every form of life. We will listen deeply - beyond the mind of separation, extraction, and concepts - to Life as it unfolds moment by moment.

Held at the beautiful Hawaii Retreat Center overlooking the ocean, this unique retreat will be held in noble silence. In addition to meditation and dharma talks, it will also include music, guided somatic practice and movement, inquiry in small groups, and ritual. Recognizing our embedded belonging, we will explore our deep reverence and responsibility in caring for the earth and her myriad beings.

All are welcome. Those who are experienced or new meditators, those who love to move and those who hold trepidation. There will be great care and integrity brought to letting this be a container for healing and accessibility.

The Hawaii Island Retreat is located on the Big Island’s North Kohala coast. This eco-boutique hotel and wellness spa is located on 50 oceanfront acres of gardens, wild groves, and ancient valley trails. Hiking trails span the land with towering evergreens, fruit orchards, and ocean breezes, and the center is walking distance to its own private cove. Retreatants will have access to the solar-heated, salt-purified infinity pool and hot tub.
